In Scotland, she reveals the strategy behind Britain’s nuclear deterrent, and speaks to campaigners in Suffolk fighting against US weapons they fear will be based on UK soil. Jane also discovers how many of the global agreements and safeguards that have constrained the spread of nuclear weapons since the 1970s are breaking down.
This is a story told by the scientists, investigators and diplomats who set the clock and have fought to ensure that the ultimate deterrent has not been used in over 70 years.

FIFA is really powerful because it's got the World Cup. And countries fall over themselves to try and host the World Cup in their country. It gives their country image building that you just can't achieve with anything else. The World Cup is the only one event in the world which is broadcasted in the majority of countries. I don't think you can imagine about something else bringing one million people in the street. And the World Cup is the number one way for FIFA to make money. So, because of the power of the biggest football event around the world every four years that gives FIFA and the FIFA president real power and so much leverage over actual countries. But that power is a trap for corruption.

Dire Straits Live BBC Arena

On 20th and 21st of December 1980, Dire Straits played at the Rainbow Theatre, London. Both nights were recorded for broadcasting on BBC2 television. Cameras were on hand to film the return of Dire Straits from their triumphant 1980 Brothers in Arms world tour. The film features a superb concert they played and band members talk about their music and the pressures and the consequences of success.
Rehearsals took place at the Whood Wharf studio in London as well, between March 4-7, 1980, as well as interviews Less than a year later, before the recording sessions for ‘Making Movies’ ended (after Mark admitted that he wished they would continue indefinitely), David would leave the band, never to return.
