In the final two episodes of Season 2, Ragnar’s hopes of securing land in Wessex collide with King Horik’s hunger for revenge. As the Vikings advance towards King Ecbert’s villa, they walk straight into a carefully prepared Saxon response. Back in Kattegat, however, the most dangerous battle is no longer being fought with Saxons. Horik becomes convinced that Ragnar has grown too powerful and secretly prepares to destroy him and his entire family. Floki appears to turn against Ragnar, Siggy is drawn into Horik’s plans and every friendship suddenly becomes suspect. But beneath the deception, Ragnar is quietly testing the loyalty of those closest to him. What follows is a tense and violent reckoning in which betrayal is answered with betrayal, old alliances are shattered and Ragnar’s rise reaches a decisive new stage.

The Odyssey with Dan Snow

   2026    Culture    HD
Dan Snow follows the route of Odysseus across the Mediterranean, beginning with the world of Troy and the Bronze Age warriors who inspired Homer’s epic. Sailing through Greece and the Ionian islands, he explores places traditionally associated with the Cyclops, Circe, the Sirens and other episodes of the hero’s long journey home, while examining the archaeology and historical evidence behind the legends.
Along the way, Dan asks how much of the story may preserve memories of real places, peoples and events from the ancient Greek world. His voyage ends at Ithaca, where Odysseus’s struggle to return to his family reaches its climax. Combining myth, history, archaeology and travel, this documentary reveals how one ancient story became one of the most influential adventures ever told.
