The Stingray: Part one

A Murder in D.C.

In the second episode, the murder of a political staffer in 2016 spawns a myriad of unfounded conspiracy theories as the man's family and the truth hang in the balance.
Following Seth Rich's murder, his parents filed a lawsuit with Fox News after conspiracy theories about his murder spread across the internet. Mary Rich told NPR that the combined trauma of her son's death and the attacks by conspiracy theorists caused intense and lasting distrust. After the case was resolved, Rich's parents said in a statement at the time that they were 'pleased with the resolution of this matter and sincerely hope that the media will take genuine precautions in the future'.

The Suspects

Lil Hughes Knipp recalls meeting Father Maskell near his end... and knowing that he would never be charged. The search for Brother Bob and a potential killer begins, and the revelation of a potential suspect named Edgar Davidson comes forward with an interesting story.
With more people coming forward, more suspects appear including a man named Billy Schmidt who lived in Cathy’s apartment. A contact from one of Cathy’s sisters could give new insight on the case.

In this sixth and final episode, the FBI escalates its pursuit of an elusive hacker, but he soon turns the tables by questioning the legality of a key tool in their investigation.
We'll also find out how one man is being watched by the government for alleged Russian election interference. Is he responsible, or just a patsy for more powerful people? We'll have to get to the end to find out.

(Click CC for subtitles) Joseph Sepp Blatter wins a dubious victory as FIFA president. As South Africa is chosen to host the 2010 Cup, rumors swirl around executive Jack Warner.
FIFA is really powerful because it's got the World Cup. And countries fall over themselves to try and host the World Cup in their country. It gives their country image building that you just can't achieve with anything else. The World Cup is the only one event in the world which is broadcasted in the majority of countries. I don't think you can imagine about something else bringing one million people in the street. And the World Cup is the number one way for FIFA to make money. So, because of the power of the biggest football event around the world every four years that gives FIFA and the FIFA president real power and so much leverage over actual countries. But that power is a trap for corruption.

The Conclusion

Potential DNA and evidence could exist for the crime, and the police might be forced to act. A push for victims’ rights in Maryland goes to a committee but getting justice might be more difficult... and time doesn’t stand still for anyone.
