Vikings Season 1 Ep 3-4

   2013    History    HD
In episodes 3 and 4, Ragnar returns from England with treasure, prisoners and the first proof that his forbidden dream was not madness, but the beginning of a new world of opportunity. Yet victory quickly turns dangerous when Earl Haraldson seizes the riches for himself and forces each man to choose only one reward. Ragnar’s choice is not gold, but Brother Athelstan, a captured monk whose knowledge of England may prove more valuable than any silver. As celebration gives way to suspicion, the raid becomes a threat to the old order, and Ragnar’s growing fame starts to look like a direct challenge to the Earl’s power.
With permission now granted to sail west again, Ragnar and his crew return to England in search of greater wealth, deeper secrets and more dangerous enemies. But every success abroad increases the danger waiting at home. In Kattegat, Haraldson turns against Ragnar, accusing him of murder and dragging him before the law in a trial that becomes a battle for loyalty, honor and survival. Between Saxon lands, Viking ambition and the politics of a ruthless chieftain, these episodes turn exploration into open conflict and show how Ragnar’s legend begins to threaten everyone who stands above him.

Tucci in Italy Ep 1-3

   2025    Culture
Guided by Stanley Tucci, this documentary journeys into the heart of Italy to reveal the country as it truly is, complex, contradictory, and deeply rooted in its culinary traditions. Through food, Tucci uncovers stories of history, identity, and innovation, showing how every dish reflects centuries of culture, migration, and local pride. What emerges is not a postcard Italy, but a living, evolving nation where cuisine is a language spoken by everyone.
In the first three episodes, Tucci immerses himself in Tuscany, savoring the artistry of its cuisine while exploring Florence and Siena, where Renaissance creativity still shapes the table. He then heads north to Italy’s industrial regions, discovering cutting-edge gastronomy and futuristic farming, from high-tech agricultural labs to unexpected gourmet food found at service stations. Finally, in the German-speaking Alpine north, he explores a dual cultural identity through mountain dishes, skiing traditions, and glacial river fishing, revealing how history, borders, and landscape have forged a cuisine unlike any other in Italy.

The Housemartins in London 0 Hull 4

   1986    Art
The Housemartins return to Hull during their breakthrough year of 1986 and revisit the places where the band began. Paul Heaton, Stan Cullimore, Norman Cook and Hugh Whitaker talk about forming the group, their sudden success and their determination to remain rooted in ordinary life despite growing fame. The film follows them through Hull, mixes informal conversations with rehearsals and performances, and includes songs such as Happy Hour, Sheep, Think for a Minute and Caravan of Love.
The members also speak openly about their socialist views, religion, money and their distrust of the music industry, revealing the ideas behind their deliberately unglamorous image and sharply observant lyrics. Ending with a concert for their home audience, this documentary captures The Housemartins at the moment they were becoming nationally famous while still maintaining the humour, friendship and political convictions that defined the band.

Vikings Season 2 Ep 7-8

   2014    History    HD
In episodes 7 and 8 of Season 2, rivalries harden and new alliances begin to reshape the balance of power on both sides of the sea. Ragnar and King Horik clash over the fate of Jarl Borg and over who should control their next expedition to England. While Horik argues that they still need Borg’s ships and warriors, Ragnar finds an unexpected new ally in Lagertha, now commanding warriors of her own. With that obstacle removed, Ragnar carries out one of the most terrifying punishments in Viking tradition: the blood eagle. At the same time, King Ecbert welcomes King Aelle to Wessex and seals an alliance between their kingdoms through marriage, preparing England for the Vikings’ inevitable return.
The tension only increases when Aslaug’s dark prophecy appears to come true with the birth of Ragnar’s son Ivar, while the Viking fleet once again sails for Wessex. Ragnar wants negotiation and sees the possibility of something more lasting than simple plunder, but Horik is driven by revenge and increasingly resents Ragnar’s independence. Ecbert, meanwhile, prepares both for peace and war, using Athelstan as a link to the man he knows is unlike any other Viking leader. When Ragnar discovers that Athelstan is still alive and Ecbert offers talks under safe conduct, the possibility of a historic agreement suddenly emerges—but distrust, ambition and bloodshed threaten to destroy it before it can even begin.
