The Railsplitter

   2022    History
From a childhood marked by poverty on the American frontier to the presidency of a nation on the verge of collapse, this three-part historical biography traces how Abraham Lincoln became one of the defining figures in American history. Blending dramatic reconstruction with commentary from historians and political figures, it explores the ambition, empathy, wit and moral conviction that shaped his rise, his belief in democracy and equality, and the immense personal and political pressures that would eventually place him at the center of the struggle over slavery, union and the future of the United States.
In the first episode, Lincoln’s journey begins far from power. Growing up in hardship, enduring the death of his mother and receiving little formal education, he develops a fierce determination to rise beyond obscurity. Through hard physical labor, self-education, storytelling and an emerging talent for public speaking, he begins to build the character and political instincts that will define him. His early encounters with slavery, his move into law and politics, and the relationships that shape his ambitions reveal the making of a man who is still searching for his place in the world, but already driven by the conviction that his life must amount to something.

Force of Nature Ep 4-6

   2026    Nature    HD
In the final three episodes, the series follows animals being pushed to the edge as melting ice, extreme heat and prolonged drought reshape the environments they depend on. In the Himalayas, a snow leopard is forced from familiar territory, while an Arctic ground squirrel in Alaska undertakes an extraordinary migration and a young Arctic fox in Svalbard faces her first winter alone. These cold-adapted animals must rapidly change behaviours that once worked for generations as their frozen worlds become increasingly unstable.
The struggle then shifts to the opposite extreme, where wombats, leopards and kangaroo rats are tested by record heat and worsening drought, pushing their remarkable physical and behavioural adaptations to their limits. In the final episode, attention turns to the people working directly to help wildlife survive these new extremes, revealing rescue efforts, scientific interventions and conservation strategies in some of the planet’s harshest environments. Together, these final chapters show that survival now depends not only on the animals’ ability to adapt, but increasingly on how far humans are willing to go to protect them.

Gettysburg: In the Heart of the Battle

       History
From executive producers Tony Scott and Ridley Scott comes a special about the battle that changed the course of the Civil War and the future of the Nation. ‘The world will little note, nor long remember, what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here.’ Abraham Lincoln's iconic Gettysburg Address frames this epic, feature-length History special.
‘Gettysburg’ looks at this battle from a visceral new perspective, not the generals who commanded from behind the frontlines, but that of the everyday soldiers who fought there, in a confrontation that changed the fate of the nation. Stripping away the romanticized veneer of past treatments, this special conveys new information and honors the sacrifice of those, both North and South, who fought and died there.
Compelling CGI and powerful action footage place viewers in the midst of the fighting, delivering both an emotional cinematic experience and an information packed look at the turning points, technology, and little known facts of perhaps America's greatest battle. Raw, immersive and emotional, this groundbreaking event puts viewers inside the three-day battle where over 50,000 men paid the ultimate price.

Among Believers

   2013    History
With optional Hebrew subtitles. The story of medieval Jews struggling to preserve their identity--and sometimes their lives--under the rule of Christianity and Islam. Whether labelled 'Christ-killers' by the Christians or 'dhimmi' (non-Muslim citizens of an Islamic community) by the Muslims, diaspora Jews built new lives and invented new ways of being Jewish in exile in the face of discrimination, blood-libels and persecution interspersed with periods of tolerance, protection and peaceful co-existence. Drawing on some of the documents they left behind, this episode offers a vivid portrait of Jewish bankers, merchants, doctors, poets and artists flourishing in Lincoln, Cordoba, Venice and Cairo and tells the story of their mass expulsion from Spain in 1492.

Force of Nature Ep 1-3

   2026    Nature    HD
As climate chaos intensifies, animals across the planet are being pushed into conditions their bodies and instincts were never designed to face. Floods arrive where drought once ruled, storms grow stronger, seas warm and familiar habitats disappear. Narrated by Andrew Lincoln, this six-part natural history series follows wildlife confronting these extremes at close range, revealing not only the destructive power of a changing climate but also the extraordinary ingenuity, resilience and adaptability animals use to survive.
In the first three episodes, the struggle begins on an increasingly extreme Earth. Burrowing owls on the North American Great Plains race to protect their chicks from tornadoes, cheetahs in Kenya battle record floods, polar bears search for vanishing sea ice and chimpanzees survive severe drought by digging their own filtered water holes. Rising waters then transform entire ecosystems: pygmy elephants face monsoon floods in Borneo, a platypus is swept into a violent flash flood in Australia, and a lone lioness in the Kalahari turns an unexpected flood into a rare hunting opportunity. Finally, along the world’s coasts, Caribbean flamingos confront a category-five hurricane, anole lizards cling on through violent winds, California sea otters struggle through huge storms and collapsing kelp forests, while clownfish on the Great Barrier Reef face a marine heatwave that threatens the very anemones on which their families depend.
